Welcome to Kung Fu Wushu W.A.

_Kung Fu Wushu WA is recognised by the Department of Sports and Recreation as the state governing body for Kung Fu / Wushu (Chinese martial arts) in Western Australia. Kung Fu Wushu WA is also the WA state representative for the Australian Kung Fu Wushu Federation (AKWF). The AKWF is officially recognised by the Australian Sports Commission as the national governing body for Kung Fu / Wushu in Australia.

Kung Fu / Wushu (Chinese martial arts) is a sport and lifelong art that teaches skills for life, including independence, focus and self-discipline - skills that can assist with self-esteem, learning and physical development. There are four different Chinese martial arts disciplines:
  • Traditional Kung Fu – Traditional styles, recreational sport and self defense
  • Traditional Tai Chi – Traditional styles, recreational sport and self defense
  • Wushu Taolu – Contemporary competitive routine sport
  • Wushu Sanda – Competitive combative sport

World Healing Day - 28th April 2012 Lake Monger

This year's annual World Tai Chi and Qigong Day will be called World Healing Day and will incorporate other arts such as Yoga, Mediation and Gonging to celebrate WTCQD, an event that occurs across the world simultaneously on the last Saturday of April every year. The Perth event will have the added bonus of having WTCQD founder, Bill Douglas present to conduct some seminars.

_Coach Accreditation Courses - 19th May 2012

_Accreditation is a nationally recognised process that establishes a martial arts instructor is able to provide instruction in a manner that is safe, responsible, and accountable with appropriate levels of understanding as to their legal and community obligations.

11th World Wushu Championships

2011 W.A. State Sanda Championship Results

__The WA State Sanda Championships were held Sunday 30th October at the Ging Mo Academy in Jolimont. The event consisted of two events with fighters represented by the Pak Mei Yaolin Kung Fu School and the Chin Woo Athletic Association.
